Yes. However, the FireBarbie will be super-hot! So appropriate heat-resistant gloves are recommended when changing cooking accessories and using the FireBarbie in general.

Absolutely! The FireBarbie can be used without the legs like a traditional firepit.

Sure can! Charcoal and heat beads work well in the FireBarbie.

Yes, the FireBarbie meets the requirements to be considered a contained cooking device.

Using the FireBarbie with the legs on will not damage your grass and won’t leave a mess. In fact, after the FireBarbie is packed up, you won’t be able to tell it was even there. Using the FireBarbie as a traditional firepit with the legs removed will most likely damage your grass. Depends how extreme you make the fire. 😉

Realistically, the FireBarbie is virtually indestructible! It’s tough and can live outside for some time. But because it’s made from Mild Steel, it will rust. So, we recommend removing the legs and storing it in a dry place when not in use.

For those who like to take immaculate care of their FireBarbie, there are four major things you should keep an eye on:

Clamp Locks (nuts and bolts): Don’t let them rust! Lube them up before use, anti-seize is the best! Especially over the summer months when you’re not using the FireBarbie.

Cooking Surfaces: It’s important to always keep your FireBarbie’s grill and cook plates well oiled, before and after cooking. This will help prevent rust! Before using your FireBarbie for the first time, apply a thin layer of cooking oil to the plates when they’re hot. After use, clean and oil cook plates and grill, and wrap them in a clean cloth or hang them indoors, off the ground. Avoid storing cook plates and grill in damp or wet conditions. After being stored for a while, small spots of surface rust may appear. This is normal and will not damage your cook plates. Before using them, simply run some steel wool over these spots and rinse with water. Then, enjoy your FireBarbie!

Hinges: The hinge is likely to warp or fail at some stage. (We originally welded the hinge on, which made it difficult to swap) The FireBarbie’s hinge was designed using bolts. Should your FireBarbie hinge wear out, any similar hinge at your local hardware store will do the job, allowing you to keep your FireBarbie in top shape for years to come.

Side Tables: We recommend you oil treat the side tables wood. This is a preventive measure stopping it from cracking splitting and warping, it will also help repel moisture. The better-quality timber oil the better. but even a couple of layers of olive oil, will do the trick. This treatment will penetrate deep, nourishing the wood and enhance the natural grain of wood.

We believe in right to repair, which is why the FireBarbie’s hinge was designed using bolts. Should your FireBarbie hinge wear out, any similar hinge at your local hardware store will do the job, allowing you to keep your FireBarbie in top shape for years to come.

The first time using your FireBarbie, we recommend lighting a decent fire and letting it burn out naturally. This removes any unwanted oils and particulates left over from manufacturing and shipping. Once your FireBarbie has been through a complete burn, it’s ready for cooking! Just be sure to oil the cook plates when they’re hot on your first cookout!

The FireBarbie is built from 3mm mild steel. The Mini Grill and Large Grill are 5mm mild steel. The side tables are made from quality Oak hardwood.

Only if you want a friend for life! You can ship a FireBarbie directly to that lucky person by entering their address as the shipping address, and your own as the billing address. It’s that easy!

Option 1: Paid Shipping

The FireBarbie package is big and heavy and goes through quite a few hands before reaching your door. We’ve gone to great lengths to make shipping as affordable as possible for our customers, and we continue to search and negotiate ways to lower the cost even more. Our current shipping fees are calculated on checkout.

*Please Note: In the event of a return, the specific shipping cost for your location will be deducted from your refund.

As soon as you order has shipped, you’ll receive a shipping confirmation email from us complete with a tracking number so you can follow the delivery progress.

Please Note: If you haven’t received your shipping confirmation email yet, your order may be on pre-order, as confirmed on the website at time of purchase. Be sure to check your original order confirmation. You won’t receive a shipping confirmation email until the pre-order date designated on your original order confirmation.

Typically, your delivery will take 2-8 business days from the time you receive your tracking number via email.

On rare occasions, the freight company isn’t able to deliver within this timeframe. Your tracking number may update to advise of a ‘delayed’ delivery date.

If your item still hasn’t been delivered within 12 days, please contact us and we’ll resolve the issue as soon as possible.

Provided your order has not been shipped, we can change your shipping address. Contact us immediately and we’ll be happy to help.

*Please note: We can only send your order to the address you provide on your order — if you have provided an incorrect address and the package is delivered there, we will be unable to retrieve it. So please check your address carefully!
